Dr Yan Wang Preston will join a panel discussion with film director Julia Haslett and the Royal Botanic Garden botanist Alan Elliot. To quote the introduction by the Scottish National Gallery:

'Join us for the Scottish premier of Pushed up the Mountain presented by the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh to coincide with their exhibition Rhododendrons: Riddle, Obsession, Threat. The film travels between conservationists in China and Scotland and is a poetic and personal story of plants and the people who care for them. Through the tale of the migrating rhododendron—now endangered in its native China—Pushed up the Mountain reveals how high the stakes are for all living organisms in this time of unprecedented destruction of the natural world. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with the film’s director Julia Haslett, artist Yan Wang Preston, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh Botanist Alan Elliot and chaired by Royal Botanic Garden Botanic Edinburgh Head of Creative Programmes Emma Nicolson.'
