A solo exhibition of 'Forest' has opened at Gibson Mill, Hardcastle Craggs, Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire, UK. The exhibition consists 10 large prints from Yan's 'Forest' project and two mix-media installations. The latter feature the last remaining part of Frank the Daqing Tree (see the Story here), and red soil scattered on a silicon-coated material. The work forms an interesting dialogue with the woodland outside of the building, which comes with complicated history of industrialisation, conversation and managed woodland. The exhibition will run until the 22nd July 2018.
